This November was another successful Movember at MCDS. Doing “Movember” means raising awareness for men’s health issues and our team reached its goal of raising over $1,500 dollars. The proceeds go to the Movember Foundation, the leading global organization committed to changing the face of men’s health by focusing their efforts bringing awareness to issues like prostate cancer, testicular cancer and men’s suicide.

Twenty-two male participants raised or donated $50 dollars each and grew out their beards. The organization claims that mustaches and beards are like “our ribbons.” In addition to the twenty-two donations, participants also asked friends and family to donate to our group page. On the final day of November, the participants shaved their beards and sported stylish mustaches. After two bake sales were held, $1,577 dollars total were raised during the month of November by our Movember team. Thanks to all the participants!
