Football loses by one point…

In Friday and Saturday’s Athletic Action….. The Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams
had another great day at the Spanish River Invitational at South County Regional Park in Boca Raton. The Girls Varsity Team finished 3rd Place in the 1A Division. The girls were led by Isabella Allen (5th place overall in 21:14),followed by Alexandra Piussan, Lea Ankonina, Klara Meyer, Sydney Fuentes, and Nicci Sherwood.  The JV Girls finished 2nd of 13 teams andwere led by Anika Boano, followed by Rebecca Reines, Sophia Gomez, Taylor Sennett, and Hannah Amoils. The 11th ranked Boys Varsity Cross Country team finished as 1st Place in the 1A Division.   The boys were led by Alex Cohen, followed by Julian Schultz, Jacob Strouse, Evan Mendelson, Mack Tracy, Ryan Mendelson, and Matt Allen.   The JV Boys finished 14th and were led by 6th grader Eduardo Dana, Noah Reines, Joel Cohen, Jay Weaver, and Dhillon Murphy. The Girls and Boys Swim Teams participated in the FSPA Invitational in Stuart.  Emma Rodriguez finished 12th in the 100 Breaststroke with a 1:12.26,Morgan D’Abelmont swam her personal record of 1:28.92 in the 100 Freestyle, Madisyn Jones had her personal records in the 50 and 100 Freestyles (26.41, 58.67), Amelia Gregorio had in PR in the 100 Freestyle and 100 Backstrokes (1:05.86, 57.43), Alesandro Marchesani was 13th in the 100 Breaststroke (1:03.97), Jack Rodriguez had his PR in the 200 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke (2:24.87, 1:16.46), and Ramon Villamayor had his PR in the 100 Breaststroke (1:35.46).  The Girls Middle School (Varsity) Volleyball Team (10-5) finished in second place at the Slam Invitational.  The girls lost to Ransom 19-25, 8-25, beat SLAM 25-8, 25-9, beat Doctors Charter 25-14, 25-21, and lost to Ransom in the championship game 17-25, 14-25.  Catharina Giacian led the way with 12 service points, 7 aces, and 4 kills, Alexa Altman had 14 assists and 8 kills, and Molli Leoni had 12 service points, 10 digs, and 10 kills.  The Varsity Football Team (1-4) lost to New Generations Academy 16-15.  Matthew Wendrow led the way by going 11-20 for 161 yards and a touchdown, Austen Weinberg had 15 carries for 45 yards and a 2-point conversion, C-Jay Charles ran for 43 yards and a touchdown and forced a fumble, Blake Thomas had 6 catches for 78 yards and an interception, Justin Walker had 59 yards receiving, a touchdown, 4 tackles, and an interception, Sam Cohen made 11 tackles, Adrian Rega and Chris Haefner each made 7 tackles, Cole Boucher and Chad Azeroul-Dray each made 6 tackles, and Everett Levy made 5 tackles.

In Today’s Action….the Middle School (Varsity) Volleyball Team hosts Riviera Prep at 4pm.

On Tuesday…..the Boys Golf Team travels to Sagemont at 3:30pm, and the Varsity VolleyballTeam travels to Hialeah Educational Academy at 3:30pm.
