Late Wednesday……The Girls Varsity Swim Team (2-1) lost to Gulliver 124-42, but beat Keys Gate Charter 76.5 to 57.5.  Madisyn Jones was second in the 100 and 50 Freestyles, Amelia Gregorio finished second in the 100 Backstroke and 3rd in the 200 Freestyle, and Isabella Pedraza (in her first varsity meet) was fifth in the 200 Individual Medley and fourth in the 500 Freestyle.  The Boys Varsity Swim Team (1-2) lost to Gulliver 118 to 51 and lost to Keys Gate Charter 93-74.  Alexis Goya finished first in the 200 Freestyle and second in 100 Backstroke, and Demetri Spiliotis was third in the 200 IM and third in the 500 Freestyle.

On Thursday…..The Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams had a great meet at the Pine Crest Invitational at Mills Pond Park in Fort Lauderdale. The Girls Cross Country teamfinished 4th out of 18 teams.  The girls were led by Isabella Allen (8th place overall 21:18), followed by 6th grader Kitty Simmonds, 7th grader Klara Meyer, Mary Elizabeth Allen, ,Alexandra Piussan, Lea Ankonina, and 6th grader.  The Middle School Girls finished 5th of 11 teams. They were led by 7th grader Hannah Amoils, followed by Rebecca Reines, Anastasija Moskvina, Sophia Agurcia, and Mia Batista.The Boys Varsity Cross Countryteam finished 4th place out of 24 schools.   The boys were led by Jacob Strouse, followed Alex Cohen, Julian Schultz, Ryan Finvarb, Danny Strouse, Connor Space, and Evan Mendelson.   The Middle School Boys finished 13th of 17 teams. They were led by 7thgrader Joel Cohen followed by Nandan Aggarwal, Michael Quinn Walker, Camryn Davis, and Zachary Babil.  The Varsity Football Team (1-2) lost to Pompano High School 16-12.  C-Jay Charles led the way with 5 carries for 64 yards and a touchdown, Blake Thomas had 4 catches for 91 yards, Sam Cohen had 7 tackles and an assist, Carlos Ortega made 7 tackles, 5 assists, and an interception, Chris Haefner had 6 tackles, 3 assists, and forced a fumble, Austen Weinberg had 8 tackles, 4 assists, and forced a fumble, Justin Walker added 6 tackles, an assist, forced a fumble, and had an interception, and Chad Azeroul Dray had 7 tackles and an assist.  The Middle School (Varsity) Volleyball Team (5-3) lost to Westminster Christian 18-25, 27-25, 12-15.  Brianna Lewin led the way with 11 service points and 9 serves received, Yakira Wardlaw had 6 service poitns, 4 kills, and 4 digs, Vittoria Von Blommestein had 7 service points and 2 kills, and Madekine Sukhdeo added 4 service points, 4 digs, and 5 serves received.  The Middle School (JV) Volleyball Team (1-2) lost to Westminster Christian 19-25, 25-10, 12-15.  Jordan Sheppard led the way with 10 service points and 2 kills, Taylor Lynott had 8 service points and 4 kills, Sophie Naves-Penkwitt had 6 service points and 4 assists, and Charlie Leoni added 6 service points, 3 assists, and 4 digs.  The Junior Varsity Volleyball Team (3-4) lost to Westminster Christian 25-22, 25-21. 

On Friday…..The Golf Team (4-0) beat Palmer-Trinity in a rain shortened match 113-114.  After 6 holes, Lorenzo Figueroa led the way with a 27, and Griffin Steutel and Spencer Berens each had a 28.  The Boys Varsity Swim Team (2-2) beat Marathon 127-27.  Jonathan Abramowitz finished first in the 100 Breaststroke, Zachary Smith was first in the 100 Freestyle, and Jack Rodriguez and Zach Charalambides each swam well in their first varsity meet of the season.  The Girls Varsity Swim Team (3-1) beat Marathon 78-76.  Amelia Gregorio won the 100 Freestyle and 200 IM, Madisyn Jones finished first in the 200 Freestyle and 100 Butterfly, and Brianna Buchler and Arushi Beohar each swam well in their first varsity meet.  The Varsity Volleyball Team (4-4) beat Florida Christian in 5 sets 25-18, 21-25, 25-18, 26-28, 15-11.  Sasha Jenkins-St. Prix led the way with 40 assists, 6 digs, and 4 aces, Brooke Pumo had 15 kills, 8 aces, and 2 digs, Stella Strahrova added 7 kills and 4 aces, Taylor Mashburn and Sydney Jones each had 8 kills and 1 ace, and Adriana Vivas had 8 digs and 8 serves received.  The Junior Varsity Volleyball Team (3-5) lost to Florida Christian 25-22, 13-25, 9-15.  Bridgette Lewin had 7 points, 2 aces, 1 kill, Lauren Kleidermacher had 1 kill and 7 digs, and Yakira Matsionn added 4 digs. 

In Saturday’s Action…..the Middle School (JV) Volleyball Team (3-3) beat Cushman 25-20, 25-20, beat Palmer-Trinity 25-8, 25-11, but lost to Carrollton in the Championship game 25-27, 22-25.  Taylor Lynott led the way with 10 service points, 5 aces, and 7 kills, Marley Mayer-Perexz added 11 service points and 10 aces, Jordan Sheppard had 17 service points and 3 aces, Mia Larson had 12 service points, 5 aces, and 5 digs, and Amaris Rios added 11 service points and 4 aces. 

In Today’s Athletic Action….the Girls Golf Team hosts Calvary Christian at 3pm, theMiddle School (JV and Varsity) Volleyball Teams travel to Palmer-Trinity at 4pm/5pm, and the Junior Varsity and Varsity Volleyball Teams host Palmer-Trinity at 4pm/5:30pm.  Palmer-Trinity has forfeited today’s Golf match against our boys.

On Tuesday….the Boys Golf Team participates in the Youth Fair all day.
