HER ONLINE BIOGRAPHY

Mariandl Hufford is an experienced educator who holds dual master’s degrees in Educational Leadership and in Psychological Services from the University of Pennsylvania, a master’s in Teaching and Curriculum from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts from Bryn Mawr College.

During her thirty years working in independent schools, she has taught Latin and served as a school counselor and director of student services. In her current role as the Assistant Head of School and the Director of the Center for the Advancement of Girls at The Agnes Irwin School, she is responsible for overseeing the academic programming for the preK-12th grade all girls’ school in accordance with the strategic plan, and the research, advocacy and community engagement initiatives that comprise the work of the Center. She also supervises the School’s work in the area of diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as global programming and service learning.

Mariandl serves as Secretary of the Board of Trustees of the National Coalition of Girls’ Schools. An invited speaker at national and international conferences, Mariandl has shared her expertise as an educator in a variety of venues. Her student-centered, research-based focus has led her to work on the creation of systems and programs that advance the development of all children.

Mariandl lives in the Philadelphia area with her husband, Bob and has three children.
